Leicester continue to grind out wins

Again Leicester did not look like they got out of third gear all night. Maresca’s Foxes have a knack for killing any momentum that builds up against them with a spell of tidy passing that relieves that pressure.

What Leicester have shown in the last two games is that they are not afraid to travel away to big grounds and play their style of football. They are not fazed by anyone. They converted the penalty and then completed the job in a really professional manner.

Kasey McAteer’s fine goalscoring form continues

The academy product is enjoying a brilliant start to the season with four goals in the opening seven Championship games, his second in two games. The winger looks to be a very clever footballer making very smart runs to open up space and create chances.

McAteer should have had a goal earlier when he peeled off to the far post but got his header all wrong, but his effort was rewarded when substitute Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall squared to Kasey McAteer who had one of easiest finishes to double Leicester’s advantage.

The 21-year-old looks to be a benefactor of Leicester City’s relegation as the winger may not have been given this much of a chance had the Foxes still been in the Premier League.
