After three wins in a week, Leicester City travel to Merseyside on Wednesday for the second successive Carabao Cup tie, facing off against Liverpool in round three following their win over Tranmere Rovers last month. The Foxes go into the fixture with an extra day’s rest compared with their opponents who saw off West Ham United in the Premier League on Sunday.

The mood around the King Power Stadium has shifted dramatically since the international break, before which defeat at home to Hull City had put a dampener on a positive start to the campaign. Fast forward a tough run of fixtures which yielded maximum points, there seems to be a general consensus that anybody who finishes above Leicester this year is likely to be promoted.
