Vestergaard was a constant in today’s win. He broke up play so often, rushing into midfield when necessary. He also put in countless blocks, one of which saved a sure goal from Blackburn. He is the best passing defender we have, and that is evidenced solely by the fact that Enzo will not drop him and continues to play him in the middle of the back three.

Truly, this has been once of the most dramatic turnarounds from a player I have ever seen. I hope the fan base will realize more as this season goes on that Brendan Rodgers was a poison that infected the whole of the squad, and Vestergaard was cast aside by a blundering manager who was out of his depth.

I believe this could be the start of a relentless run of wins by Leicester City. Up next midweek is Preston North End making their way to the King Power Stadium. If Leicester put them to the sword they will open up a 7 point gap between themselves and third place. With that gap and confidence flowing I could see the Foxes really getting into their stride.

Next. Enzo Maresca asked if there is room for Harry Souttar at Leicester. dark

Most reasonable fans and pundits knew it would take time for this new style to sink in and become second nature to the players. Myself, I thought it would take about 2 months, maybe 3 to get them fully into the system where we start steam rolling sides left and right. I believe that scenario is just on the horizon.  It really does seem as though Enzo Maresca is working some kind of beautiful magic behind the scenes at Leicester City Football Club, and HMS Piss the League is starting to roll ahead full bore. Till next time, up the boys! COYF!
