Leicester 1-0 Sunderland: 3 standout players in emotional home win
First up and third on my list is James Justin. It’s good to see him getting on the score sheet and he looked solid on the defensive side of the ball as well. He knew when to push up offensively and when to hang back, it was down Leicester’s left side where most of the threat was coming; they stayed away from James’ side. Many fans were worried if Justin would get his chance and with the unfortunate injury to Callum Doyle the former Luton Town man has slotted in seamlessly.
Second and eating the just-right porridge is someone who I can’t stop putting in my top three simply because he continues to be so good: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. Again not his best game but what I admired from him was his determination to play on despite the obvious shocking officiating in the game. He used the anger and frustration to try and push on and take control of the game at times; you can see real leadership qualities emerging in Dewsbury-Hall.
Finally at the summit of my ratings is someone I’m so happy I can finally rate at all: Cesare Casadei. To be honest, myself and some other fans haven’t understood what Enzo Maresca was thinking making this guy such a high priority signing. Now, we can see exactly what the manager saw bubbling up to the top in the form of smooth, quick-in-thought play.
