Casadei was a man transformed tonight, as his new haircut was informing us before he even kicked a ball. Winning headers, making mature decisions with the ball, and using his body effectively to shield opponents in a game where the referee should have been arrested for assault due to his lack of calls for Leicester players. It didn’t affect Casadei as much because he was just so strong on the ball, advancing play and making marauding runs multiple times.

It’s truly amazing watching this team progress under Maresca and his philosophies. This was our most difficult game tactically and you could see the way he commanded the touchline. He even introduced Marc Albrighton and Jamie Vardy, two pillars of the club on a night that was emotional for so many. Let’s not forget the return and re-unveiling of Patson Daka who made his first appearance under the new Italian manager.

It seems Enzo Maresca is looking to mend bonds and ties amongst those around the club in the simplest way: winning games and ensuring promotion back to the Premier League. He seems intent on keeping Khun Vichai’s dream strong and everlasting. Until next time, “Vichai had a dream, he bought a football team, he came from Thailand and now he’s one of our own”, up the boys!
