Stephy Mavididi – 6.5

Almost got himself on the scoresheet in the first half with a good step-over but was denied by a strong save assisted by the framework. Attacked the opposition box with the ball well but like other players, was guilty of fading out in the second half.

Kelechi Iheanacho – 4

A disappointing evening for the Nigeria International. Missed a couple of good chances and got a silly yellow card for sarcastically applauding the referee.

Abdul Fatawu – 6

Dribbled well but lacked the end product. Couldn’t really influence play in the dangerous areas of the pitch with a few crosses failing to hit their intended target.

Substitutes

Jamie Vardy – 5

With Sunderland pushing for an equalizer, there weren’t many chances for the striker to get involved.

Hamza Choudhury – 6

Made an excellent tackle soon after coming on and helped the team maintain its slender lead in the closing stages of the game.

Marc Albrighton – 5

Defended hard in the closing stages of the game but gave the ball away a few times after initially winning it.

Patson Daka – 5

A surprise appearance after barely featuring this season so far, he ran hard and pressed intensely. Looking forward to seeing him more involved in the coming games.
