Leicester City are one of the most expensive sides in the Championship. Here are our highest earners and whether the ranking is a fair reflection or not.

The weekly wages of the King Power club have been revealed in greater depth, and they have been ranked according to the financial outlay on each player. I will run through the top five players wage-wise and our top five if we were talking about playing ability. Further, we shall note the rest of the top 10 highest paid players.

Leicester City’s top five

Wages are never a direct or fair reflection of the quality of players, although we often see a correlation with at least perceived importance to the side and the financial enumerations offered to that player. Therefore, do not take this ranking as a subjective depiction of who we prioritise, see it more as the ranking of where the Foxes themselves view their talents. I have also removed Boubakary Soumare from this listing as he is not currently playing for the club.

5th – Wilfred Ndidi. The Nigerian international earns around £75k per week on a contract we all remember is due to expire. The expiry of which is drawing interest from foreign clubs for the players signature. This could change if Ndidi extends his stay with the King Power side. Either way, the defensive midfielder turned attack-minded CM is certainly of importance.
