According to various journalists, outlets, in the know pundits and fans as well, Ruud van Nistelrooy will soon lose his position as Leicester City team manager. And we here will back that imminent significant decision. It's nothing personal, Ruud, just Foxes business, mate! If and when the ex-Manchester United and Netherlands star player is to leave, somebody must come in to steer the ship.

And the Blue Army would prefer to navigate a much less turbulent route than last season. Therefore a steady and considered captain (management) is required for a prosperous Championship campaign in 2025/26. An Enzo Maresca-like boss is actually what is needed at King Power Stadium in my humble opinion.

To that end, a trio of potential new LCFC gaffers are said to remain on the East Midlands bosses' shortlist to replace the Dutchman. And, I might add, this information does come from a proven top source for footballing forecasts. So, let's get straight to it as there is a lot to cover in a short period. Could Leicester's next head coach be one of these candidates?

3 Managers remain on Leicester City's shortlist to succeed Ruud van Nistelrooy suggests notable outlet

Sky Sports have reported (Friday, May 30) that LCFC chairman Aiyawatt 'Top' Srivaddhanaprabha is unlikely to retain van Nistelrooy in his current capacity. In other words, the 48-year-old's days on Filbert Way are numbered!

"Sky Sports News has been told it is very unlikely that the former Manchester United striker will be kept on in the role,"

Evidently, nobody will be surprised when the once PSV Eindhoven man is dismissed. But that scenario leaves a void that the hierarchy must deftly and prudently fill. And City bosses are not noted for much cunning in the contemporary era.

Nonetheless, LCFC have supposedly compiled a list of candidates to takeover from RvN. First of all, Sheffield Wednesday's Danny Rohl is a contender. Then we have Strasbourg's Liam Rosenior. Finally out of work Russell Martin accompanies. My choice would be Rosenior.
