This afternoon, we examine a few of the players who haven't been so heavily involved for Marti Cifuentes in the Leicester City starting XIs of late. One or two are very good footballers, even a senior National Team representative along with international youths.

With all this in mind, we wonder if technical or selection reasons are responsible? Alternatively, are there respective fitness problems plaguing the Foxes once more? Are Leicester's Ben Nelson, Victor Kristiansen and Louis Page injured? Or are the trio simply not in Cifuentes' plans at present? Will they each stay as we get to the New Year? Or can we expect some sales or loans amongst the small, selected group?

Are Leicester City's Ben Nelson, Victor Kristiansen and Louis Page all injured at the moment?

Ben Nelson

First of all, I'll begin with Nelson. He has represented many England youth teams, and was recently called up to the Three Lions Under-21s.

So, as you can tell, it's not only us City supporters who rate and want to see more of the 21-year-old. He's in demand.

Although, not so much with Cifuentes. It appears that the ex-Queens Park Rangers manager merely prefers more senior, experienced centre backs among the squad. If defenders remain fit, he may temporarily switch sides in January.

Victor Kristiansen

Kristiansen is a different case. If I'd have had my way - we'd have sold him in the summer or previously for a small profit. He stayed, and unfortunately fractured his jaw. That very injury prevented the Denmark international from solidifying his place in Cifuentes' lineup.

The 22-year-old now supplies definite threat to Luke Thomas's standing as a starting full back. However, it seems as though Kristiansen may have just not been selected on Saturday versus Swansea City; read below:

"For the win at Swansea, more senior players like centre-back Ben Nelson and left-back Victor Kristiansen couldn’t make the squad, while midfielder Louis Page has missed out of late too."

Availability also affected Page's status at LCFC. He was then unable to regain his spot in midfield. Jordan James' introduction, as well as Aaron Ramsey signing, hampered the England Under-18s baller's emergence.
