It's not all doom and gloom at Leicester City at the moment. We have some very exciting youth players coming through, and Ruud van Nistelrooy has finally been sacked! No offence intended, Ruud. There will also be cheaper matchday tickets available for Foxes games next season. Wow.
So it's not all bad news at City, believe it or not. Only just over a month ago, three of the brightest prospects in LCFC history were given very tender Premier League debuts in some respects. 15-year-old Jeremy Monga was the most eye-catching and extensively tried debutant. While Jake Evans and Bade Aluko were also handed timely maiden appearances with the East Midlands outfit.
In addition to that, a new era is about to be ushered in. And the last time we dropped to the Championship with Enzo Maresca at the helm, the Foxes enjoyed a fine, record-breaking campaign back in the division. Although he left us in the lurch somewhat after mastering a great season, somebody similar to the Italian is required at King Power Stadium in my view.
Furthermore, and something the vast majority of us in the Blue Army fan base expected, was van Nistelrooy to finally be dismissed. I have nothing at all against the Dutchman, and I was impressed at his youth policy as previously mentioned. Although he appeared to be unqualified and certainly the wrong man for the LCFC job. Yet there is more positivity, to be fair.
Cheap matchday tickets to be available for Leicester City games
That's right, adults can attend City matches in 2025/26 for the small fee of just £20. Fair play, LCFC! General ticket prices have reverted to previous tier two tariffs as well.
Though C and D are the new categories to be added to structuring. I'll allow Leicester Mercury to explain:
"For Category C matches, prices for adults range from £21 to £42. For Category D, adult tickets range from £20 to £30. In both Categories, under-12 tickets will cost £5 no matter which stadium block the seat is in.
In the Premier League last season, City’s cheapest adult tickets cost £33, although that was only for a limited number of games. For most fixtures, adult tickets were at least £39.
The most expensive matchday ticket at City next season will be £49, down from £72 in the Premier League."
