The first team manager of Leicester City Football Club, Marti Cifuentes, is feeling the heat in his role at King Power Stadium. The Catalan gaffer was out of the frying pan for a brief moment there. But he is now fully back into the out of control and raging LCFC fire.
The former Queens Park Rangers head coach is being more closely scrutinised than ever on Filbert Way (in my opinion) due to the sheer inconsistency of the contemporary Foxes side. Losing in Shepherd's Bush, West London to his old club was a difficult situation for him and us fans.
The ridicule and abuse from immature and hurt QPR supporters inadvertently pining for Cifuentes on City's social media was also awkward. They did this due to their dismay and embarrassment at how he treated their organisation. Or maybe it is the realisation that their club isn't as important to sought-after professionals in the sport as they may have hoped or imagined.
Therefore, amid the vexation of LCFC's Blue Army fan base (especially at being 4-0 down at half-time at Loftus Road), the 43-year-old requires another boost in order to repair his reputation. Not to mention needing a better game plan or different personnel if the recently unchanged lineup is becoming stagnant. Certain starters are now too comfortable: potentially because of the feeling that minimal competition for places exists. Enter Jeremy Monga and Aaron Ramsey.
Leicester Mercury suspect Jeremy Monga and Aaron Ramsey may be close to starting and starring for Leicester City again with Watford to face on Boxing Day
I'm not sure I would take out Stephy Mavididi at the moment: the winger has just started to show his class once again. However, Monga could be key to getting that spark reignited in attack.
Ramsey was instrumental in some great play following his untimely red card earlier in his City career, and prior to sustaining injury. Now that he's available - De Cordova-Reid has a real rival at No.10:
"There is greater potential for Aaron Ramsey and Jeremy Monga to start though after both made their injury comebacks against QPR.
Attacking midfielder Ramsey played 25 minutes in his first outing since October, while Monga looked good in the final 15 minutes at Loftus Road."
