Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is said to be leaving Chelsea Football Club after just one year in West London. Obviously he's still a talent, therefore many sides would do well to loan or acquire the midfield maestro. Although, Blues bosses apparently want to offload Dewsbury on a permanent basis. So where will the soon-to-be 27-year-old land for the upcoming season? Will he remain in the Premier League or go abroad? Alternatively, will KDH return to his home club, Leicester City?

Is KDH needed on Filbert Way?

Transfer news and hearsay is never in short supply over the summer months. One rumour that caught Foxes of Leicester's eye today (Monday, July 28) was actually about another team's player.

However, the footballer in question is in fact a former favourite son of the Foxes. And a professional who was instrumental in some of the (few and far between) good times of the modern era.

Would Dewsbury-Hall be a good person for the East Midlanders to re-sign? Yes, absolutely! The Nottingham-born (I know, right) player ticks almost every box in transfer respects. Yet I'd argue KDH is too good for us at the moment, to be perfectly frank.

But is there any chance that City could pull off a miraculous deal to bring Dewsbury-Hall back to the King Power? No, I don't think there is really.

And that estimation is not just based on my opinion. I have looked at a few elements and things just don't add up. He'd be a great addition, but is arguably not required. Leicester's midfielders are adequate at present.

"Fulham are said to be chief admirers of the player, with website GiveMeSport claiming the Cottagers are keen to sign him as part of a permanent deal."

KDH will likely aim for a top European league. Uncertainty also prevails at LCFC currently: new manager, possible points deductions and financial struggles. All this points to Dewsbury-Hall heading elsewhere, unfortunately for us.
