It looks to me as though new Foxes addition Julian Carranza could be soon deployed from the start of Championship games. The Argentine striker got on the end of, and probably should have netted, one opportunity that arose for him on Saturday afternoon against Coventry City. Though his presence was more of a focal point than current main striker Jordan Ayew. Furthermore, and in spite of the chance to score going begging, Leicester's Blue Army fan base must be patient with Carranza in my opinion.

Experts and pundits, along with fans such as myself, are beginning to question LCFC manager Marti Cifuentes' decision to play the Ghana international in the solo centre forward role. Ayew isn't that experienced, confident or seemingly competent as the No.9, despite being allowed to claim that shirt number for himself and consolidate the position so far this season somehow.

But, if you ask me, change is coming at City. Potentially in more ways than one. Although here today, we are attempting to address the East Midlanders' attack. It is now probable that Ayew will be dropped, or more likely moved around for Leicester attacker Carranza to be introduced. With the new signing ready, waiting and clearly wanted by Leicester supporters. Allow me to detail and discuss the matter with you.

Ayew has produced one goal but has no assists in six Championship starts. That's unacceptable; even as a makeshift attacker for a leading side in the division.

"Julian (Carranza) has to start next game. How many chances were wasted because there was no one up front or just people couldn't finish."

The former Crystal Palace man does supply a few other benefits, yet they are too few and uninfluential to mention. Meanwhile a striker by trade sits on the substitute's bench.

It is time to introduce the Feyenoord loanee into the starting lineup. And, if you didn't know, Ayew is quite effective from the support or No.10 role.

"Who is going to score the 70-80 goals you need to get promotion with Ayew playing down the middle," Mowbray asked when working as a pundit on Saturday's 0-0 draw.

"If I was managing there I would be a little bit frustrated, you have got the balance of when you want to gamble a little bit more."
