Here we cover topical Leicester City news by offering our own take and explanations. We also look at history and the future of the LCFC team and club. In addition, there is a time and a place to reflect on former Foxes favourites. This includes seeing what one-time City players are up to these days. And we have a story in that area for you today (Wednesday). It seems that an ex-Premier League midfielder, who invariably starred for the East Midlands side around 20 or so years ago, is set for a management role. You've got to start somewhere, but will we see the former Fox in the Championship or higher one day?

Robbie Savage made a silly gesture but Blue Army shouldn't forget what he achieved with the Foxes

As the subheading implies, I wasn't impressed when Savage kissed the Birmingham City badge either. His comments or lack of LCFC-focused remarks annoyed me further. Though, as a previous Filbert Street season ticket holder, the Welshman was one of the Foxes stars I looked up to the most.

Obviously the Leicester XI was packed with talent during the Martin O'Neill era: Neil Lennon, Muzzy Izzet, Emile Heskey, Steve Walsh and Matt Elliott, to name a few. We thought that time could not be bettered - until hero 'Khun' Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha came around. The rest is illustrious history on Filbert Way.

Savage is a part-owner and manager of non-League outfit Macclesfield Town. Yet the 50-year-old is supposedly being eyed by Forest Green Rovers. Rovers are said to be on the verge of sacking boss Steve Cotterill.

This gives Savage a chance to escape the National League North and join the National League. Cotterill's men missed out on English Football League promotion - that'll be the former's aim.
