The first fixture against Ipswich Town at Portman Road took a red card and a late Jordan Ayew score for Leicester City to come away with an equalizer. Now slated to face off against each other, with a certain destiny in the Championship already sealed, the Foxes will look to at least build on something of an improvement compared to many matches over the past months.
In the last outing at King Power, LCFC will look to end their current Premier League stay with a win. After how everything has transpired and the lack of needed passion, it could come as the ever slightest of consolations to finish with a victory in front of the home supporters.
One of the people who could provide the needed spark is Facundo Buonanotte. On loan from Brighton & Hove Albion, his stint in the East Midlands will not have gone the way any of the involved parties would have liked.
The Argentinian is coming off a goal against Nottingham Forest. His making it two out of two matches with an effort that sees the back of the net wouldn't be the worst of things.
Past Leicester performance against Ipswich
During the earlier mentioned game, Buonanotte had an overall good showing of himself when the Foxes had the ball. He found pockets to receive the ball and pass it forward to his teammates in dangerous areas. The attacking midfielder, playing in his central role, also nearly had a goal himself in that November contest with two opportunities that did ask questions of the keeper.
Buonanotte has returned from injury, and the outing against Forest should show that he has that spring in his step with the fresh legs and desire to showcase his talent before returning to his parent club.
Considering how LCFC are playing better as of late, the midfielder should once again be able to find opportunities for himself, particularly on the counter.
