A big club such as Leicester City should not be down in League One. The Foxes won the Premier League just 10 years ago. Their results have been mixed in the third tier so far this campaign. However, there have already been some standout performers who have the capability to turn their season around.

Will Alves
Alves has experience in League One from his time on loan at Huddersfield Town last season. He played very well against Plymouth Argyle, where he scored the goal to seal the victory. Alves also set up Emil Riis' second goal in the win over Stockport County.
The left-sided player has played in the Premier League for the Foxes and has experience of the Championship from his time on loan at Cardiff City. Alves is only 21 and has represented England up to Under-20 level. He is from Leicester, and will hope to play at a higher level with his hometown club.
Louis Page
Page is only 18, but was trusted to captain the side against Barnsley. This was due to Harry Souttar being left on the bench. The central-midfielder can already has three assists in League One this campaign.
He can play in defensive and attacking midfield roles too, and is an England U20 international. He was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United over the summer. A move to Old Trafford fell through on deadline day, with the two clubs failing to agree on a fee.
Sammy Braybrooke
Another star midfielder for the Foxes has been Braybrooke. He can play centrally and in attacking roles. Braybrooke set up Jayden Joseph's goal against Notts County on the opening weekend of the season. He was on loan at Chesterfield last season and helped them reach the League Two playoffs, where they lost to Notts County.
Jayden Joseph
Joseph is a right-back, so it was impressive for him to pop up with the goal against Notts County. He is very good on the ball and, at just 20, has the physicality to shine in League One. He has been a bright spark in an often shaky Leicester defence.
Emil Riis
Riis has only played three League One games for the Foxes after starting the season with Bristol City. He scored a brace in the 4-3 win over Stockport County. This was a much-needed win as Russell Martin's side had just lost 4-0 to Oxford United. At 6 ft 3, Riis has an aerial advantage to be a real threat in League One.
