We have some Fantasy Premier League news for the Blues Army and FPL bosses today. Following a probable injury to one of LCFC's best players, goalkeeper Mads Hermansen, City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy might perhaps choose to use an inexperienced and highly rated option in the net. Now, incapable reserve Leicester stopper Danny Ward filled in again Newcastle United in Saturday's heavy loss.

But the Welshman, who once turned out for Liverpool, conceded three goals in 15 minutes, which is pretty telling. Not to mention being unacceptable in spite of an awful defence ahead of him. This means that the young goalie at the heart of this piece may be fielded instead of Ward. Respectfully, I am sure Leicester supporters will be pleased with that one; despite the latter's previous penalty-saving heroics, he's generally unsatisfactory.

The King Power club are obviously struggling in the EPL at present. But a £4.0 Foxes goalkeeper, who is tipped to he considered as a starter, might be worth a shout. He could sit on your substitutes bench, or even feature in the odd fixture. But who is this mystery man? Is he actually likely to begin the Wolverhampton Wanderers match? And what's the extent of Mads Hermansen's injury problem?

Mads Hermansen update

At the moment, it is unknown how severe Hermansen's issue truly is. Though, if Foxes of Leicester read into what van Nistelrooy indicated during his post-match interview, it doesn't sound positive.

The Dane will be assessed this week, reports state. This potentially leaves a space in the LCFC side. Ward isn't really up to the job, at least in the top flight.

Yet there is much hope for 23-year-old 'keeper Jakub Stolarczyk. The Polish player returned from injury recently and was Hermansen's understudy under Enzo Maresca last season. The former is £4.0 million on FPL:

"Leicester City have received a timely injury boost with goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk in action for the first time this season.

Stolarczyk has returned just as City might need him. Mads Hermansen managed just 45 minutes of Saturday’s thrashing by Newcastle and is having a groin injury assessed this week.

But now, should the number one not be available, Ruud van Nistelrooy will have another option to choose from. Last season, Stolarczyk was promoted above Danny Ward and Daniel Iversen by Enzo Maresca, playing nine games in all competitions and keeping six clean sheets.

Having been tipped for the top by Brendan Rodgers as he made his rise through the academy ranks, Stolarczyk won plaudits in loan spells at Dunfermline and Hartlepool before returning to City. Liked by Maresca because of his confidence to play the ball with his feet...

Ninety minutes for Stolarczyk may be enough to see him considered ready for first-team action. Goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk played his first match of the season on Monday night, keeping goal for 90 minutes in the Under-21s' 1-1 draw with Everton in Premier League 2."
