Leicester City will be seeking to appoint a new manager on July 1. Well, that's if reports on the subject are accurate. The Dutchman is currently said to be sunning himself on holiday with his family following an unacceptable maiden camping with the Foxes. The season, in which LCFC were relegated, was so bad that the ex-Manchester United striker has supposedly earned himself the sack.
Embarrassingly, the only factor saving the 48-year-old from already facing the Leicestershire axe is that the King Power-owned outfit cannot afford or justify dismissing him and appointing another. Wow. In fact, and to the contrary, it was previously claimed that City have been rejected by another well-known manager before now.
But has potential candidate for the job, Sean Dyche, already turned Leicester down amid the latest LCFC revelations? We take a look at what the one-time Burnley and Everton head coach has said about his own future. In addition to what he would like to do and when.
Did Russell Martin really reject a Foxes' offer?
It is unknown weather Martin actually turn Leicester down at the moment. But that is the declaration from this outlet.
It was also said elsewhere that City are yet to approach a potential candidate. Van Nistelrooy hasn't even been dismissed yet, to be fair!
Has Sean Dyche already declined Leicester City opportunity amid revelations on his preferences?
According to the bookmakers, Dyche is now favorite to be appointed at LCFC. Whether that is a genuine assessment remains to be seen as well. I imagine Leicester have considered the Englishman many times over the years.
Though could Dyche have already received interest from the King Power? Possibly. He claims to have been given opportunities to manage again immediately after leaving the Toffees:
"I got offered a couple of things straight away and I just said: ‘No, that’s not for me now.’ Then I wait and see what comes. You never say never."Sean Dyche
The situation the 53-year-old describes could certainly describe the club.
"Speaking on The Overlap in May, Dyche said when asked if he was looking to return to management: “Not at the moment. The timing is wrong anyway. Not my timing, but clubs are going to have this time to see what they’re doing and all that sort of stuff."Dyche, via Leicester Mercury
