One popular Leicester City star is reportedly set to miss the rest of the season due to a recently sustained injury. Of course, the East Midlands club's awful campaign is almost over. There is nothing to play for and the Foxes are merely waiting to be put out of their misery. Nonetheless, it would be best to finish with some good or even respectable results as the term expires. This way, the King Power team can take even a modicum of momentum into a surely challenging Championship year. So, what is the matter with the winger? How bad is the injury believed to be? And will he make it back in time for a crucial preseason as far as media reports suggest?

Injured Leicester City star could apparently miss rest of 2024/25 - but will he be available for vital preseason schedule with a squad overhaul pending?

Leicester are likely to lose up to roughly nine members of their roster this offseason. And that group includes important starters and notable substitutes or formerly handy understudies.

You will be well aware that the club's most famous Fox, Jamie Vardy, has already confirmed his LCFC exit this summer. As I say, many more Foxes are expected to depart.

This means quite a lot of signings of varying degrees of quality inevitably transpiring as well. So the players who are staying on Filbert Way must prove their worth.

Somebody who wasn't handed enough chances to show his ability this term was Stephy Mavididi. Many of us in the Blue Army think the winger should be one of the first names on the teamsheet. Hopefully he stays at City.

Leicester manager Ruud van Nistelrooy offered details on Mavididi's fitness prior to facing Wolves. Thankfully it appears as though it's only a minor issue. The quote is below:

"Stephy Mavididi, he came off with a muscle injury so he won’t be part of Saturday’s game and probably not for the coming weeks, so that’s a blow because he’s been playing really well."
