It's weird seeing Wilfred Ndidi in a different kit amid transfer

Wilfred Ndidi won a few trophies with Leicester City and will leave as a former fan favourite. First of all, he was a part of the East Midlands side's maiden FA Cup triumph. He also lifted the Community Shield (now comically seemingly trying to rebrand as the English Super Cup) following the previous victory. And, last but by no means least, he also hoisted the English Football League Championship trophy aloft. Not quite an LCFC legend in my opinion, but as close as you can get without being on that special echelon.

Late Wednesday night/Thursday morning, the Nigeria international was photographed in every imaginable transfer scenario possible by Turkish Super Lig outfit Besiktas' social media staff. He was on a private jet with his entourage, wearing the Turks' strip, posing with fans, shaking hands with the club's executives. I'm sure there is a photo of Ndidi smiling and waving as he jogs on a treadmill for his medical somewhere too!

All joking aside, it is going to be rather weird for Leicester's Blue Army fan base to see the interceptor extraordinaire in a different kit, but obviously this latest City transfer is about to be announced. Can the East Midlands outfit cope without their expert ball-winner? And is this scenario best for all parties involved?

It's weird seeing ex-Leicester City stalwart Wilfred Ndidi in a different kit with transfer coming soon

Ndidi is one of the Premier League's most likeable players. Or, he was. Always smiling and with something positive to say. In spite of his influence diminishing, the City support will miss him.

That's because the 28-year-old is in Turkey finalising his switch to Besiktas. This deal removes hefty wages, and gives up-and-coming, versatile midfielders such as Louis Page and Jayden Joseph more chance of breaking through so I support Ndidi's exit.
