Today we are taking a brief look at two former Foxes. One was a legendary centre forward, and the other a defender who didn't quite break through at King Power Stadium. Nevertheless the first man, whom I'm sure you'll guess before I name him, is now playing in Italy after leaving LE2. Meanwhile the second man in question played in Germany at a very good level.

But now the centre back is back in England with Portsmouth and will likely play against LCFC in two important matches this season. That will be a chance to gauge how he's got on. Not to mention learning whether or not City made a mistake by allowing him to initially join Peterbrough United for an undisclosed, 'substantial fee'. So let's see why these ex-Leicester men are in the news for positive reasons.

Ex-Leicester City professional Josh Knight praised by boss

Knight is a Pompey player now; another great club with passionate fans to be involved with. While John Mousinho is impressed with the one-time Fox's play at Fratton Park, the gaffer believes defensive progress can be achieved.

"Josh, we have to take our hats off to him for first off being able to nearly complete three 90 minutes in a week. He really tired in that Ipswich game, but it’s three starts and improving in every game as well."
The Portsmouth News

Mousinho challenged the 28-year-old to improve his defending somewhat. The defender's ball-playing was positively cited. The £1million man made a succession of terrific blocks as Portsmouth surprisingly defeated Middlesbrough.

Cremonese's Italian manager Davide Nicola loves Englishman Jamie Vardy

Vardy has made two appearances for Cremo so far. Sadly he's not started a game, the two outings were as substitute. Though the once Three Lions international is expected to start for the Gray and Reds in the next fixture.

Injury kept Vards out of the previous two Serie A clashes. However, head coach in the Lombardy region, Nicola, suggests his asset is a 'fighter'.

The Blue Army fan base knows all about that! The Cremo boss claims their evolving attack is more deadly with Vardy around:

"I'm certainly not the one discovering Vardy; he's shown he's a fighter, and it's no coincidence that by filling the penalty area more, we managed to score. "
