On Saturday, November 1, Leicester City were scheduled to contest fellow Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers. I can probably speak for the majority of Leicester's Blue Army fan base when I say that I was particularly worried that the game could end in disaster. And, consequently, an already unpleasant atmosphere at King Power Stadium would become toxic.
In spite of being a mere football analyst and not Mystic Meg in any stretch of the imagination - I was bang on right! As a matter of fact, and for a host of undesirable reasons, City were actually worse than I imagined versus the mediocre, but better than suspected, Lancashire team.
I'll tell you this for nothing, it is becoming increasingly difficult to even support, let alone defend, Cifuentes. The former Queens Park Rangers man is seemingly somebody who wants to succeed; he's another fairly likeable chap to have around the club. But LCFC require killers at the moment, quite frankly!
