Leicester City are offloading players from multiple echelons on Filbert Way this summer, without a care or foresight for the future. However, certain overpaid, underperforming parasites have been removed from the East Midlands club.

Ordinarily this writer would name and shame those undesirables, yet as they have already been described as "parasites" - it is best to be careful unless lawyers from north London, Ghana, Denmark (in two cases, although one player has merely been loaned, unfortunately) Zambia or Newcastle are listening. Obviously any Foxes fan worth their salt will be able to read between those lines and identify the dross they have been putting up with on the pitch for the previous few seasons.

In the meantime, some young stars like Darren Motsi were poached from the King Power outfit; this development certainly upset City supporters. Sadly another starlet who is even higher profile could be on his way too - that man is Louis Page.

Others to leave were out of contract, and either considered too expensive or not good enough to keep in general. In addition to those three categories, one final group were sold for a decent profit in most cases.

Obviously this section contains Jeremy Monga and Abdul Fatawu. Monga earned the East Midlands side up to £12.5 million, while Fatawu brought in well over £20 million.

Meanwhile Page operates as a central or attacking midfielder and has caught the attention of elite clubs such as Manchester United and Arsenal. While wishing the very best to the 18-year-old, it is worth noting that Leicester's exceptional youth ranks will end up decimated at this rate.

One legend of the LE2 club believes Page will depart before the transfer window closes, and he has admitted how sad it is to see his former team in such a precarious position. Danny Simpson, who knows the club and its academy well, has stated he expects the talented teenager to leave City this summer; it'd be a real blow.

"Danny Simpson says he expects Louis Page to leave Leicester City before the transfer window shuts. Arsenal and Manchester United are pursuing the 18-year-old, and Leicester have already turned down at least one bid.

"It's sad to see the situation at Leicester currently," he said, speaking to LiveFootballTickets."

Simpson, a right back, began his career in Manchester United's legendary academy, he had some loan spells before stints at Newcastle United and Queens Park Rangers. He joined Leicester City in 2014, making 133 appearances and starring in their historic 2015/16 Premier League title triumph. Later playing for Huddersfield Town and Bristol City, he retired in 2024 after over 400 professional matches.
