Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, the under pressure Leicester City chairman widely known as "Khun Top", has seen his reservoir of goodwill evaporate almost entirely among supporters throughout this harrowing season. Initial affection from the Blue Army was already beginning to wane following successive Premier League relegations; the subsequent descent into League One has cast a long, unforgiving shadow over the man who oversees operations on Filbert Way.

Yet, Jon Rudkin remains the ultimate and justifiable lightning rod at King Power Stadium, for now. Both men have faced mounting accusations of dereliction of duty, strategic incompetence, and a paralysing inertia that has allowed a former champion to drift toward oblivion.

Many hope that Rudkin's capacity to orchestrate further catastrophe at City is nearing its expiration. Perhaps this will finally be the chief football officer's terminal year at the club.

Awkward but vital Leicester City transfer

An ironic optimism might eventually bloom if Khun Top has, at long last, sanctioned a necessary, albeit painful, transfer. The Thai businessman has reportedly resolved to orchestrate the sale of Abdul Fatawu, a difficult yet unavoidable manoeuvre to address the organisation's precarious financial position.

"Fulham are very keen on signing a Leicester City star in the summer, with owner Aiyawatt "Top" Srivaddhanaprabha now planning a sale."

While the Ghana international possesses an alleged £30 million release clause that the Foxes would ideally like to capitalise upon, the club's current reality may force a more desperate hand. All interested parties are more than aware of the problems the Leicestershire side suffer from and will attempt to take advantage.

"According to a report from Sports Boom, Top knows he will be forced to cash-in on Abdul Fatawu this summer."

A plethora of clubs (including Fulham, Everton, Aston Villa, Brentford, Bournemouth, Sunderland and newly promoted Coventry City) are expected to come calling with predatory intent. Although the City board may dream of reaching that (almost) fair contractual threshold, the LE2 outfit's financial constraints suggest they may ultimately be forced to settle for a figure slightly, or even significantly, more modest than their initial valuation.
