One of the signings that Leicester City Football Club could have possibly made in the summer arguably wouldn't have worked out for the Foxes. And that sentiment has been compounded after the supposedly 'laughable' way the player in question's time at his new club has played out. The City target has not had a good time since joining LaLiga outfit Villarreal. It really hasn't worked out for Manor Solomon who is definitely struggling in Spain. Though that fact is actually beneficial to the East Midlands team. The Foxes seemingly dodged a transfer bullet.

I would also briefly like to talk to you about another City-related topic today (Tuesday, December 23). While Leicester's Blue Army fan base are hoping for team signings as their presents this season, we have news, opinion and suggestion from the opposing side of the transfer fence. I'm taking about one of LCFC's outgoing loanees; rather than potentially incoming ones.

"Leicester City may have a hidden gem in Sammy Braybrooke who could make his Championship bow in January"
Football League World

Namely, I am referring to Sammy Braybrooke; he's currently at his adopted home Newport County under Foxes Premier League title-winner Christian Fuchs. And the young Fox is making his name in Wales. So much so that speculation suggests LCFC head coach marti Cifuentes is expected to consider bringing Braybrooke back and even utilising him from January onwards. Though, of course, Fuchs would love to extend the midfielder's temporary stay with the Exiles. Leicester chiefs are said to be deliberating that loan, or return, situation as we speak.

Foxes missed out on former Shakhtar Donetsk, Tottenham Hotspur, Leeds United and Fulham winger Manor Solomon - luckily

Israeli/Portuguese footballer Solomon was reportedly on City's wishist recently. Although, reading this makes me think Leicester had a lucky escape:

"Yellow Submarine fan account, LaLigaLondon, took to X afterwards with some strongly-worded sentiment towards the 26-year-old, lauding his cameo appearance off the bench in Santander as "laughable" and urging Villarreal to terminate his loan deal once the January window rolls around."

Leicester City starlet Sammy Braybrooke's situation

Braybrooke scored from just behind the halfway line last week - just like Abdul Fatawu. That is partly why the midfielder is frequently mentioned at present:

"City have a decision to make over whether they extend Braybrooke’s loan at Rodney Parade, find him a new loan club at a higher level, or recall him and integrate him into Marti Cifuentes’ squad.

A continued stay at Newport seems most likely at the moment with Cifuentes happy that Braybrooke is getting regular football and with the manager putting his focus on the 21-year-old’s long-term development."
