Players come, and players go. Unfortunately for fans of Leicester City Football Club, one or two of the unquestionably bad signings seem to remain on Filbert Way for an absolute age. They collect a very large, and undeserved wage in the process. Recent acquisitions such as centre back Conor Coady and defensive midfielder Oliver Skipp instantly come to mind. But arguably worse additions exist - whom own worse records.
Though others in that bracket often inexplicably stay at King Power Stadium for even longer than the annoying, former Wolverhampton Wanderers man. The out of sorts ex-Tottenham Hotspur footballer will probably be with us for an extended period too! However, hopefully LCFC supporters will have a bit of good fortune regarding another Foxes flop in the near future. What's the plan for misfiring striker extraordinare Patson Daka at Leicester? Please allow me to explain.
A main transfer wish could be realised at Leicester City with unacceptable statistic hanging over King Power Stadium
Did you know that the Zambia international has almost gone one entire calendar year without scoring domestically. His last goal for Leicester was on December 3, 2024.
The former FC Liefering (an Austrian lower league team) and Red Bull Salzburg centre forward's previous Zambia finish occurred on 26 March 2024. Therefore he's closing in an unwanted National Team milestone as well.
This is nothing personal, with Daka again being another likeable yet failing professional. Although, as I always say, this is business and not personal. But I'd have to advocate selling the impotent hitman while he retains some value.
To that end, a supposely exclusive report suggests that City have resolved to ultimately sell the 27-year-old. Furthermore, Leicester ostensibly won't wait for the summer window to do so.
"Leicester City are looking to sell struggling striker Patson Daka in the January transfer window. The experienced Zambia international has not scored in 38 matches for the Foxes and is now surplus to requirements. The club is eager to cash in on him as European interest in his signature grows.Sports Boom
"
LCFC bosses apparently wish to offload Daka once the January transfer window opens. Maybe this means we'll sign an appropriate replacement? But don't bet on it!
