On this occasion (Tuesday, December 16), I have three stories to bring to Leicester City's Blue Army fan base's attention. First of all, I believe the LCFC support (which definitely includes myself, admittedly) have essentially underestimated one particular signing. Some Leicester fans, myself included again, have now backtracked and are singing the former Tottenham Hotspur man's praises.
I will explain that matter in more detail as we get started. But, second of all, I will briefly introduce the other two situations at hand. One is the increased ticket prices for an upcoming away game. And I know some members of the City faithful will be warranted in their annoyance at this unacceptable news.
Finally, I will report on ex-Foxes head coach Brendan Rodgers finding himself a new club. Though where is the Northern Irishman heading to now, after his Celtic reappointment failed?
Oliver Skipp's Foxes improvements
Earlier on today, we detailed Skipp's renewed influence. Here is further explanation as to the Fox's current prominence. Some onlookers are now arguing that the Spurs Academy graduate is currently Leicester manager Marti Cifuentes' main man in the middle of the park.
"He’s always willing to cover plenty of ground, which is helpful when City see much less of the ball. One of his best performances last season further suggests this as he played a major role in Leicester’s 1-0 win against Bournemouth. Similarly, earlier this season against Birmingham City, he also performed well, as Leicester saw less of the ball and defended resolutely for much of the game. One of Cifuentes’ sides’ biggest weaknesses this season has been defending transitions, which isn’t helped by Winks’ defensive frailties and lack of physicality. It’s evident Skipp suits the current style much more, and is continuously improving week by week."Last Word on Sport
Leicester City supporters won't like this one little bit - and they will be totally justified
Questionable Coventry City owner Doug King previously attempted to justify increased spectator prices at the CBS Arena. Travelling LCFC followers will pay £45 for an adult ticket in the away stand.
If you were not aware, away tickets for Premier League matches are 'capped' at £30. But this did not stop the seemingly greedy Sky Blues chairman King upping the cost by 50 per cent for hardworking and loyal Championship fans.
"We think local derbies are great experiences. Leicester, Birmingham, West Bromwich Albion… we think our local derby partners are big games. When we need to discount and get people there on a cold midweek game in January, we'll do the same.Doug King, via LCFC Live
“People say the Premier League is capped at £30 but I say: 'Yeah, but the Premier League has got £120m broadcast revenue and I've got a pittance.’ We're not printing money in the Championship."
Brendan Rodgers in Saudi Arabia
Rodgers recently departed Glasgow, along with the United Kingdom. He has now found a new home on a different continent:
