Supporters of Leicester City Football Club don't consider the English Football League Championship our home division, to be perfectly frank with you. I'm sure that this feeling will come as no surprise to some; those rival sides in the Midlands will be in no doubt that this is the Blue Army fan base's belief. Our foes may conceivably believe that we are delusional. Or that we have been spoiled in a footballing sense since the arrival of the Srivaddhanaprabha family to Leicestershire.

Realistically, I'd probably have to agree with that hypothetical stance: us Leicester fans always enjoyed being in the Premier League, but knew all too well of the precarious situation we truly were in. Although, being designated and resigned to the 'yo-yo club' label helped us to keep our feet firmly on the ground! That all changed in 2016. This is not to say that the City faithful is deluded at all, we are just more demanding and discerning these days.

Thankfully, experts who really know what they are talking about, especially when compared with myself, are predicting success at King Power Stadium this season. In what will be music to the support's ears, a well-liked and respected former manager has made an indelible and promising forecast about the Foxes. And LCFC fans will be delighted with Martin O'Neill's prediction.

Trust me when I say that O'Neill is a City legend. As a former season ticket holder at Filbert Street, the Northern Irishman is a personal, sporting hero of mine.

The once Republic of Ireland, Nottingham Forest, Celtic, Aston Villa and Sunderland man is astute and knowledgeable. He believes latest LCFC boss Marti Cifuentes can guide the East Midlanders back to the promised land. O'Neill is relieved that a 'hangover' didn't develop after relegation.

"They should be able to [get promoted], yes," O'Neill told OLBG. "That league is demanding. It's very, very demanding. There's no question about that.

"But I don't think it is stacked with magnificent ability at this moment."
