We have the latest Leicester City injury news for the Blue Army fan base today (Wednesday, November 12). Happily, the Foxes have avoided so many injury issues as they faced in previous campaigns; for most of the season anyway. Though those times were in other eras, under other managers and with different backroom staff and fitness experts.
Unfortunately for the East Midlands team though, problems are beginning to occur within the squad regarding health of the athletes. We have seen one or two badly timed absences already, as with important loanee Aaron Ramsey (whose home club is Burnley of the English Premier League).
Sadly, a potentially crucial duo could also now be unavailable for some time judging by their respective knocks. First of all, newly instated, young LCFC centre back Ben Nelson experienced difficulty with his ankle. Secondly, fellow centre half Caleb Okoli was forced off with an injury to his shoulder. The Italian fell heavily while challenging and was treated then subsequently withdrawn as well. So let's examine the most recent reports on the injured duo.
Leicester City news following Ben Nelson and Caleb Okoli injuries from Norwich City victory
Caleb Okoli
OK, wasting no time, we can reveal what Leicester head coach Marti Cifuentes disclosed on the man from Italy. The Catalan said Okoli's fall did cause the complication.
The gaffer confirmed the former Frosinone and Atalanta defender was in a lot of pain at the weekend. Cifuentes added that the situation was particularly unlucky for his player. Though the boss has hope that the impact was not too serious at this stage.
Ben Nelson
Regarding Nelson, he was stretchered off; which led to worry amongst the City faithful. They have waited a decent while for the CB to be involved in the Championship. The ankle was immediately swollen; Cifuentes did offer further details:
"It was very swollen immediately. They’re doing some tests with him now. Hopefully it’s not a big one."Cifuentes, via LCFC Live
