It would be something of a dream ending for Jamie Vardy to score his 200th goal for Leicester City against Ipswich Town. Even if that doesn't happen, however, every LCFC supporter will cherish and appreciate everything that the captain has meant to the club.

From earning his chance from the lower leagues to then winning the Premier League and FA Cup, Vardy has shined brightest during the best moments for the club. While the last season with the East Midlands side has not gone the way anyone would have liked, his place in the Foxes' history and impact is that of an all-time great and City legend.

The industriousness and relatability of Vardy are only part of what endeared him to City supporters. In terms of effort and having the needed fire to inspire, he showed that. Playing with passion and doing everything that he could to will his team to victory, fighting for promotion and a place among the EPL giants, he will always have a special place in the heart of City supporters.

Now faced with a unique situation, everyone at King Power Stadium will know that it is his last time in a Foxes uniform. Vardy will soon be leaving for a different club during the summer. Former teammate Marc Albrighton has recommended that he enjoy the moment and embrace the momentous occasion that the fixture will mean to him and everyone in attendance.

Coming from a recognizable face from the past, the since-retired City midfielder mentioned how Vardy can at times not necessarily embrace such moments.

Current Leicester manager on Vardy legacy

The current LCFC boss, Ruud van Nistelrooy, made a statement further solidifying him as the best Leicester player ever. RvN also mentioned something that only further illustrates why so many admire Vardy:

"The story of his professional career, but also his 13 years here, the highs and lows, he’s played in Europe, he’s been through all of it. With his personality, you don’t see many more like that."

And the words from the current City gaffer show why Vardy will be forever immortalized in club history. Not only did he secure silverware and help a club achieve great heights, but he also stayed when the likes of Chelsea and Man City would have happily paid for his transfer to their team.

Instead, Vardy stood by the Foxes' side and fought through the continued adversity with the same vigor that he always had when fighting for a top spot in the Prem.

Hopefully for City fans, Vardy scores a 200th. The fact that he is even in this position after 13 years is more than enough to celebrate, even if that feat does fall short.
