According to multiple claims in the media at the moment, Leicester City are set to make moves during the upcoming January transfer window. There could, of course, be numerous outgoings or even a few incomings over the New Year period up until February's cut off point. In fact, Foxes manager Ruud van Nistelrooy admitted he was keen to add to the squad. He confirmed that talks are ongoing between himself, the recruitment department and, naturally, LCFC's hierarchy. Judging by the state of play and calibre of the City roster, new arrivals are desperately required on Filbert Way.
Defensive signings would be my ultimate suggestion and late Christmas wish for next month. Though, if we trust transfer talk doing the rounds, the east Midlands team are on the look out for a new striker. Could the Foxes possibly recall in from attacker Tom Cannon from his Stoke City loan? Or will highly rated Brighton & Hove Albion front man Evan Ferguson be the person brought in? City bosses have apparently made a decision which I believe fans will appreciate overall.
Leicester City transfer forecast
Personally, I don't consider a fresh centre forward or forwards in general the requisite positions to strengthen at King Power Stadium. The defence is a shambles, if you ask me. Statistically, Leicester are rather floundering at the back this campaign.
Inadequate defending was the main element of the last downfall too. Nevertheless, and unfortunately, van Nistelrooy recently has revealed that he is happy with the "luxury" choices he has at centre half. Realisation will kick in soon in that respect, you'd imagine!
Yet the LCFC priority appears to be securing another goalscorer. Stoke supporters will surely be delighted with this outcome. While the Brighton faithful will be eager to witness their asset get more Premier League minutes:
"Leicester City have no plans to recall striker Tom Cannon from his loan with Stoke City and are seriously considering a move for Brighton’s Evan Ferguson, sources have revealed to TEAMtalk"
