Leicester's most reliable player this season deserves more than 4 straight draws

Leicester City has hit a dry spell recently, and we're not talking goals. We are talking results.

Starting the Championship season well, Martí Cifuentes took almost no time to win over the Leicester fans. And he's done too much since to ruin that early reputation, but with four consecutive draws in the league, fans are beginning to ask for more from the boss and, of course, the players.

Look, there might be an attitude problem at Leicester City right now. Fans can only hope that it doesn't lead to a bust-up behind the scenes. Heck, we all know that another managerial change would be no good, especially after the fair share of them recently.

Despite the mentality issue in the Foxes squad right now, there is one player who has stepped up, and been the diamond in the rough of the recent period.

That player is Harry Winks.

Harry Winks has been Leicester's most reliable player

Harry Winks has started the last three games in the league, despite being out of favor at the start of this season. The midfielder has marked his return to the starting lineup well, and has given Cifuentes every reason to consider him as the main man in the midfield.

Against Wrexham last night, Harry Winks was one of the best players on the pitch. So much so, FotMob indicates that he completed more passes (117) than any player from either team.

Sometimes, that's all Leicester needs. A midfield tempo controller, and one that can move the ball across the pitch. For Leicester, that player has been Harry Winks, and long may it continue.

At the start of the campaign, it would have been fellow former Tottenham player Oliver Skipp who got the nod in the midfield. However, the more time that progresses, the harder that decision is to justify.

Harry Winks is much more reliable than Oliver Skipp, who is much more of a confidence player. Skipp plays well if Leicester is playing well; Leicester plays well if Winks is playing well. That's the key difference between the two players.

Harry Winks has only been in this great form for a short period of time, but that form, coming when other players have struggled, puts him firmly on a pedestal. He shouldn't be omitted from the starting lineup anytime soon.
