Leicester's 12-point deduction just the start as PL vendetta resumes

The Premier League's seeming vendetta against Leicester City continues with the English Football League reportedly planning a 12-point deduction for the Foxes. And that punitive measure is to be imposed before the 2025/26 Championship season even begins, if we trust the latest being reported on the matter. The East Midlands outfit is alleged to have broken EPL spending rules. Word is that the King Power club made a £17million overspend.

And, unfortunately for LCFC, top flight bosses will then seek to impose further points punishments onto the team. It appears that Leicester's upcoming deduction is possibly just the start after apparently taking footballing law into their own hands. Obviously the PL wishes to make an example out of City to deter any other clubs from doing the same. Oh, and beating the league in court won't have gone unnoticed either. A Foxes feud continued.

Leicester City's supposed impending 12-point Championship deduction is just the start of the fight as Premier League's clear vendetta against Foxes continues

Well, if any sides in England believed Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSRs) to be a mere threat - they were wrong. It seems as though the directive is no joke whatsoever. And Leicester are firmly in the PL's sights at the moment.

As if next season wasn't going to be hard enough as it is, being docked over 10 valuable tier two points could be detrimental to City's promotion push. And it is probably all LCFC's own fault!

You can see why so much of the Blue Army want director of football Jon Rudkin gone, along with Foxes CEO Susan Whelen. Even chairman Aiyawatt 'Top' Srivaddhanaprabha is not immune from justifiable criticism anymore.

And the aforementioned Leicester hierarchy have certainly made a powerful enemy. Never bite the hand that feeds you is my advice to the executive City trio. More problems are currently foreseeable:

"...the Premier League are expected to argue for more points to be docked due to aggravating factors, with Leicester also charged with not supplying their annual accounts to the Premier League by 31 December 2024 and failing to provide full, complete and prompt assistance to the Premier League in response to the league’s inquiries"
