Leicester City left it late when the past summer's transfer market was active. As a matter of fact, no outfield players arrived on Filbert Way until the very last day of the window! Only the veteran goalkeeper capture of Asmir Begovic was completed prior to September. In addition to the Bosnia and Herzegovina stopper being added to the roster, 'keeper Fran Vieites also joined the Foxes on a free transfer with a two year contract after the aforementioned switches.
But back to the deadline day trio of loan signings, one is standing out in particular. Although Aaron Ramsey hurt his chances of becoming a fan favourite in Leicestershire by being sent off, he still has much promise. Let's hope maturity prevails and Ramsey's obvious skill set is exhibited regularly. The No.10 spot (or a second No.8 role) is up for grabs at King Power Stadium.
In the meantime, striker Julian Carranza will be hoping for a stint as a starter in order to become the main man in LE2. The Argentine has looked slightly off the pace and not fully acclimatised to the testing Championship as of yet. However, third Leicester loanee Jordan James is winning over the Blue Army fan base with relative ease. His commitment, quality and goalscoring exploits have brought another positive dimension to the XI. Here is more on the Wales international.
Leicester City's Welsh star Jordan James plays against England on Thursday but could have possibly represented Three Lions at senior level
While the midfielder has represented the Dragons' Under-15, Under-16 and Under-18s, in 2022 he twice played for England's Under-20s. Nevertheless, James's heart chose to permanently represent Wales.
James has been speaking to media prior to the upcoming Wembley Stadium friendly. He spoke on that period and offered an explanation for his choice.
"It was a weird period, the opportunity (to play for England's U20s) came to me and I had to try it. My dad didn't really like it too much, but he urged me to try it just to find out. But it was always Wales."
