Unfortunately, Leicester City are said to be considering terminating one attacker's current loan. Ahead of the January transfer market reopening in the New Year, the Foxes have an important decision to make. Meanwhile, a potentially vital centre forward has returned from injury. And talismanic striker Jamie Vardy has been in good form this season in spite of his veteran status.

Nonetheless, bosses of the east Midlands outfit are apparently ready to dismiss one particular signing. Should LCFC get rid of the player? Was the temporary move a mistake? Could he have done more as a Fox? And which other stars may City target in order to utilise their second loan?

Elsewhere, new Leicester manager Ruud van Nistelrooy is now fully in charge at King Power Stadium. He recently conducted his maiden LCFC press conference at Seagrave Training Centre. He spoke of numerous topics ahead of meeting West Ham United in Tuesday's midweek Premier League encounter. But what did van Nistelrooy touch upon exactly? And what can we expect prior to the visit of the Hammers?

Ruud van Nistelrooy in Leicester City's hot seat

As hopefulness and good cheer fill the country, particularly in Leicestershire, van Nistelrooy got down to business. The fan base generally feel that the club have appointed the right man. Even if he is a little inexperienced for the role.

To get straight into it, the former Manchester United interim boss talked squad injuries. He confirmed that Caleb Okoli has trained; the Italian is fit for selection. While Harry Winks' report was less conclusive; the ex-Tottenham Hotspur midfielder should be back soon, however.

When asked of his approach, RvN claims to be solely focused on winning games. He puts 'results ahead of style'. Yet the Dutchman did speak directly of employing a 4-4-2 formation or structure defensively.

Whilst van Nistelrooy mentioned the lesser known three-box-three as well: this is essentially a flexible 3-4-3 with less width. He cited old City gaffer Enzo Maresca for introducing and pioneering the system when in attack on Filbert Way.

In addition to these matters, the 48-year-old discussed potential January transfers. He's assessing the roster at the moment, but LCFC will look to add players in the New Year. Van Nistelrooy has been trying to lift the team's mood following another dreadful performance and outcome versus Brentford.

Odsonne Edouard may be on the way out

Edouard hasn't had enough opportunities at Leicester for a decent goalscorer, if you ask me. Yet it could be too late for the Frenchman; let's hope a goalscoring replacement emerges with minutes:

"Leicester City are considering terminating Odsonne Edouard’s loan deal at the club in January, sources have told Football Insider.

A termination would allow Leicester to make another Premier League loan signing in January – which could prove crucial to their survival prospects."
