With Jeremy Monga likely to depart King Power Stadium in the coming days to join former manager Enzo Maresca at Manchester City, it is time that Leicester City turned their attention to another wonderkid.
That teenager is, of course, Louis Page, who already has 21 appearances for the first team despite being just 17 years of age. At such a young age and considering the talent that he possesses, it would make sense for him to be a regular in Russell Martin’s side next season in the third tier.
Page has a similar ability to the likes of Frank Lampard when it comes to arriving late into the box, so playing him as the No.8 in Russell Martin’s system could be the key to getting the best from him.
So, how could Russell Martin utilise Page into his system and how could the Foxes line up in August?
Goalkeeper - Jakub Stolarczyk
It would be assumed that Polish goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk will remain between the sticks for the next campaign. The only thing is that he isn’t great with the ball at his feet so Martin could look at bringing a better ball playing goalkeeper to the club.
Right Back - Olabade Aluko
Olabade Aluko is another huge talent coming out of Seagrave that will be hoping to see more minutes this season than his ten appearances last campaign. With the departure of Ricardo Pereira, Aluko has the chance to show the new boss what he can offer.
Centre Back- Harry Souttar
Following a few positive World Cup appearances, Harry Souttar may be a wanted man this summer. However, if the Leicestershire outfit can keep hold of him, his leadership and physicality could be perfect in League One.
Centre Back - Kevon Gray
Kevon Gray is another academy prospect that had a very good season with the Under 21’s last season and was rewarded with his first team debut in the final game of the season away at Blackburn Rovers. He will be hoping to have a good pre-season and stake a claim for a first team spot this season.
Left Back - Charlie Taylor
Free agent Charlie Taylor could be a great fit for LCFC because he can bring experience to a young squad. Having played under Martin at Southampton, Taylor will know the demands of the new manager.
Centre Midfield - Oliver Skipp
Towards the back of last season, Oliver Skipp was one of the more consistent players, albeit in a very poor team. However, at this level he would be one of the best around if the Foxes were able to keep hold of the former Tottenham Hotspur man. Sammy Braybrooke is a definite alternative option here.
Centre Midfield - Louis Page
As previously mentioned, Page is the future of the football club and having him as an important player in the side could keep him at the club.
Attacking Midfield - Conor Chaplin
There have been a lot of rumours of this signing after his contract at Portsmouth expired last month. Chaplin scored 26 goals when he was last in League One a few seasons ago.
Right Wing - Silko Thomas
Abdul Fatawu will almost certainly not be at the club come the 15th of August. Silko Thomas scored his first goal for City in the last campaign and will aim to be given the chance to fill the boots of the Ghana international.
"Abdul Fatawu is an obvious sale at £20m-£30m to fund arrivals."OneFootball
Left Wing - Stephy Mavididi
Stephy Mavididi didn’t have a very good time last season so keeping hold of him could be the key to seeing him get back to his best, taking on his man and scoring goals like we saw in his first season at the club.
Striker - Danny Ings
It looks as if the singing of Danny Ings is imminent and with that brings a lot of uncertainty. It is without a doubt that if he can stay fit, Ings will score many goals at this level. Although, that is the problem: can he stay healthy?
