Leicester City fans will be amazed that the Foxes are said to be leading the race to sign a new player. But they'll also have a laugh and the ridiculous sensationalism contained within the attributed headline. LCFC are said to be after one or two, or even three signings this winter. The King Power club have, however, been accused of 'literally stalking a player'. Silliness aside, are the Foxes about
to beat Tottenham Hotspur to a potentially important acquisition?

Supposed Foxes transfer plans

Journalists have given indications of the Foxes' plans for the New Year. In fact, LCFC manager Ruud van Nistelrooy also spoke on possible signings arriving on Filbert Way. Furthermore, believe it or not if you're as pessimistic as me, van Nistelrooy claims City even have a funds to spend.

While the January transfer market is active, it is reported that City want a centre back. Along with a defender, the east Midlanders are apparently targeting a full back too. That will be music to the ears of Blue Army members fed up with the floundering James Justin at right back. To be fair, Victor Kristiansen is struggling at left back as well; I'm not sure Luke Thomas is the answer.

In addition to those two positions, Leicester may want another role filled. Could City seek a winger for further productivity with Abdul Fatawu sidelined? A competent and commanding centre half is the most desperately required element for Leicester. So what's the latest?

Leicester City said to have stalked player in order to best Tottenham Hotspur

Let's hear more about this slightly zany sounding story now. Udinese defender Thomas Kristensen is ostensibly on the east Midlands outfit's radar. Yet Bianconeri boss Kosta Runjaic suggests nobody in his squad is for sale. Irrespective of that, did LCFC stalk Kristensen?

"it is stated that Kristensen is being ‘literally stalked’ by Leicester City, who will have to pay about €16.5m to sign him, but that price tag doesn’t scare the Foxes at all.

While the report mentions that Tottenham and Leverkusen are also interested, they seem confident that it is Leicester City who are leading the race for the centre-back."
