Leicester City need to turn around their fortunes in the Championship quickly.

Indeed, at the time of writing, Gary Rowett's Foxes look resigned to the drop, with only one win collected from his seven games in charge, not exactly an inspiring patch of form.

Yet, they'll take some confidence away from the fact that relegation rivals West Bromwich Albion were loitering in the same position they are currently deep in, a matter of games ago, but four games unbeaten has now pulled them out of the mire.

Leicester will hope they can do the same, but the wins need to be forthcoming imminently.

There have been some positives to latch onto, even as the Foxes have continued to stumble, with Jordan James a clear star performer for Rowett's men.

The Welsh midfielder has ten goals and four assists in total this season in the Championship, from only 26 starts, as the decision to bring the ex-Birmingham City playmaker to the King Power on loan for the season from Rennes, continues to stick out as an inspired decision.

Unfortunately, the worst possible development has occurred for Leicester over the international break, as the midfield livewire went down with an injury during Wales' recent World Cup playoff match versus Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Midlands giants will now be sweating over when James will next be back for the relegation-threatened side, with it potentially not looking great on the injury front, for one of Leicester's rare bright sparks.

Leicester sweating over James' availability

James was meant to feature for an additional match for Craig Bellamy's men over the break, but the 21-year-old sheepishly went down against Bosnia - in a match that Wales eventually lost - and had to be taken off on the hour mark.

This issue has ruled him out of featuring for the Dragons against Northern Ireland, with it being reported on that James went down with an achilles injury for his nation.

He was then sent back to the King Power to be assessed, instead of further damaging his injury with Bellamy's camp, with the anxious wait to see what the full extent of the damage is, agonising for Leicester supporters to cope with.

Losing James at such a critical crossroads of the season would be soul destroying for Rowett and Co. but they have been before in having to deal with the 21-year-old pulling up with an untimely injury.

He was unavailable for an entire month between January and February, having suffered a hamstring injury in the first half of a 1-1 draw against Wrexham.

Leicester's form while he was injured doesn't make for the best reading, if he is back in the treatment room for the foreseeable future now, as the Foxes lost four matches and drew two games, while he was completely absent.

The Foxes cannot afford to fall victim to another drastic slump in form, with Rowett needing to have a plan in place if James is sidelined, again.

Nobody will truly know what to do until the full damage is revealed, with Leicester keeping everything crossed he can feature again this season.
