Leicester City welcome fellow relegated Premier League outfit Ipswich Town to King Power Stadium for the penultimate match of the 2024/25 season on Sunday afternoon. A match which would usually be anticlimactic due to the Foxes and Tractor Boys' fairly awful campaigns. I must add that I thought Ipswich looked a more confident, organised and better team than LCFC in general over the course of this term.

However, this weekend the occasion is going to be about one person: Jamie Vardy. Even the travelling Ipswich support will not be able to escape the Vardy party and subsequent Leicestershire pandemonium if the ex-England striker nets his 200th goal for the East Midlanders. Fascinatingly, the 38-year-old signed for the King Power club on this day years ago. And, amazingly, this is also Vardy's 500th outing in a City shirt. I saw a tweet suggesting the outcome is written in the stars for Vardy. Let's hope so eh, Foxes!

In this article we shall quickly run through squad fitness news for either side. And finally make our predictions for the fixture. How do we expect the home starting XI to look for captain Vardy's last Leicester game?

The Foxes have a few players now out for the remainder of the season: Abdul Fatawu, Stephy Mavididi, Mads Hermansen and Bobby De Cordova-Reid. Ricardo Pereira could feature vs ITFC.

Meanwhile Harry Winks and Jannik Vestergaard are considered out of contention. They are said to have clashed with Leicester manager Ruud van Nistelrooy over preparations and living proximity.

Nathan Broadhead is back. While Leif Davis returns from suspension. Conor Townsend, Aro Muric, Kalvin Phillips, Wes Burns, Chiedozie Ogbene, Sammie Szmodics and Jaden Philogene are all respectively unavailable.
