Leicester vs QPR: Predicted Foxes FA Cup XI

Leicester City's poor run of form in the Premier League will have Ruud van Nistelrooy hoping for a much better showing in the FA Cup. The Foxes face QPR in their next match-up: here is our predicted XI for the critical Cup tie.

Leicester City injury news

Regarding availability, Leicester City have several players either unavailable or doubtful limiting Nistelrooy's options significantly. In the long term, we recall Ricardo Pereira and Abdul Fatawu being injured. Wilfred Ndidi, Jannik Vestergaard, and Mads Hermansen could miss the fixture. Victor Kristiansen was also absent due to illness, so it is unclear whether the player could return.

Missing a centre-back which has been used quite a bit by the Dutchman will probably lead to Wout Faes starting the match. A missing Ndidi means we will definitely see one of Oliver Skipp or Harry Winks depending on how Nistelrooy prioritises winning the fixture. Hermansen's absence has placed Jakub Stolarczyk in the starting line-up, so I expect this to continue.

Predicted Starting XI

In my opinion, the Foxes will likely put out a strong starting XI with some minor alterations with the aim of boosting league performances with a good showing in the FA Cup. As such, I doubt the team will vary too much from what we have seen in recent matches.

In the net, Jakub Stolarczyk makes the most sense. The Polish goalkeeper has been standing in for the Danish stalwart due to injury, has performed as well as could be expected, and will eventually be replaced when Hermansen is available once more. The QPR tie could help to build-up his confidence should the player be used more in the EPL.
