Major Leicester transfer news: Stephy Mavididi, Wout Faes, Woyo Coulibaly

Many, many incoming and outgoing transfers are still expected to go down on Filbert Way before the summer window slams shut - there are no two ways about it. First things first: defenders are an absolute must for Leicester City, and requirement is multiple centre backs specifically to fix what has been so obviously broken.

On top of bringing in at least one proper centre half, the East Midlands recruitment team also look to be eyeing up another attacker to bolster the forward line. But then current boss Russell Martin went and contradicted that whole idea, bizarrely claiming Liam Cullen, Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Admir Bristric are all he needs, or will be given, up front.

The glaring problem? One has only just arrived, one isn't even a striker anymore, and the other was never a centre forward in the first place!

Three important Leicester City transfer updates

When it comes to players heading for the exit, Tuesday potentially dropped three huge updates on the Blue Army. For starters, winger Stephy Mavididi (who has done absolutely nothing of note bar one decent campaign under Enzo Maresca) is apparently a target for a whole host of Championship clubs. That declaration is somehow both shocking given how poor his form has been, yet exactly what you'd expect from a player who only ever appeared productive when the Manchester City manager was in charge.

Meanwhile defenders Wout Faes and Woyo Coulibaly are tipped to leave before next week's deadline, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke. Every single City fan will arguably be glad to see the back of the Belgian; Coulibaly could be a baller somewhere.

The LE2 club are said to be wide open to any offers that come their way. The big, burning question now is: can Leicester's often hopeless recruitment department actually find someone half-decent to replace them, or will they mess that up too?
