Things have gone from bad to worse to severe on Filbert Way. Leicester City bosses are refusing to acknowledge that Code Red has been initiated at King Power Stadium. But from the outside looking in, LE2 is in full implode, DEFCON 1 mode if you ask me!

Today (Friday, December 19) we learned that City staff (supposedly including players and management) will not be paid their monthly wages prior to Christmas as was expected, and as is the norm for LCFC employees. This news also indicates that The King Power International Group's (ownership) financial issues are much more dreadful than they admit.

Although I mentioned Friday, some of us in the Blue Army heard this was the case on Thursday through contacts or early reporting. You see, clubs often employ fans, along with friends and associates of supporters. So that is how this information gets out to the faithful before even the legendary John Percy at The Telegraph actually receives notice from his abundant sources.

Away from the mess Foxes chairman Aiyawatt (Khun Top, or Scrooge) Srivaddhanaprabha has made of his reportedly very upset staff's Christmases, we have more bad news for the East Midlanders' fan base. And this update relates to a potentially significant transfer loss. Oh joy!

Leicester City starlet Jeremy Monga supposedly in transfer talks with Liverpool and Newcastle United at worst time

We wanted (naively) new players in the New Year. Although, the more likely eventuality is that we will relinquish our most gifted academy graduate in the summer instead. City may well complete a free transfer or a loan in January, but we should be retaining our best prospects as well!

The word is that LCFC are considering sacrificing Monga to settle Profit and Sustainability problems, whilst collecting 100 per cent profit. TEAMtalk claim Liverpool and Newcastle, among others, are already speaking to the precocious baller's representatives about prospective deals:

"We can reveal that Tottenham have been pushing very strongly in recent weeks, but Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle United have all laid out their plans to the Coventry-born star."
