A new Foxes signing has revealed he was "shocked" when he first witnessed Leicester City Football Club in all its glory for the first time. Caleb Okoli has some way to go to win over the Blue Army, though he does have some likeable and admirable qualities. In spite of a few uneven displays for LCFC so far, the defender seemingly now has a chance cement his place under the latest boss.

Though Ruud van Nistelrooy doesn't appear to value Okoli as much as one-time Leicester gaffer Steve Cooper. The Dutchman hasn't started the Italian in either of the two City matches he's taken control of. And, of course, Wout Faes was the unlucky but justifiable player to be omitted. Although as I previously outlined, I believe the 23-year-old has a long way to go to fully ingratiate himself as a Fox. So why was Okoli so surprised when he saw the real Leicester City Football Club? And what did the ex-Frosinone loanee say was 'on another planet' at LCFC?

Leicester City and Caleb Okoli

While Okoli has played nine times for the Foxes this season, I would disagree with lazy assertions that he's 'adapted to life in the Premier League quickly'. He's struggled overall, as have Leicester.

Additionally, Okoli recently lost his place under a notable new manager. That's where he truly is at present. I'm not writing him off, nor am I diminishing his capabilities or career. We are merely realists here at Foxes of Leicester. I hope he'll flourish at some stage!

Fox awestruck at LCFC facilities

Upon arrival at Seagrave training centre, the centre back was taken aback by the wonderful and leading facilities. He essentially admits that LCFC's establishment outclasses his previous base at Zingonia [Atalanta’s training setup].

"I was shocked when I saw it for the first time. I grew up in Zingonia [Atalanta’s training setup] and until this summer I thought that centres like that were the best. But when I arrived here I was speechless, I assure you that we are on another planet . There are 21 pitches and one of them is covered. Then we have two gyms where nothing is missing and also in terms of recovery we have everything, from saunas to swimming pools."
