Leicester City are currently in the awkward and uncertain position of attempting to amass a tally that will send them back to the Premier League while an unknown and significant punishment hovers over their collective heads. LCFC recently took entered the first division over two
intervening seasons - and lost. Yet the East Midlanders took on English top flight bosses in the court room as well - and won.
Now the Leicestershire club owned by The King Power International Group faces another battle against the EPL, reportedly along with the English Football League Championship, in order to clear their name. Alternatively, we shall be severly punished! The current and previous charges relate to City supposedly going over their three-year threshold for Profit and Sustainability boundaries.
And there is seemingly no hiding from a potential points deduction for Leicester. With most outlets reporting that those in charge on Filbert Way did appear to break rules. The hearing is set to begin towards the end of the week, suggest Sky Sports.
The only real questions that remain are thus: when will the outcome be known, and will the withdrawal be six or 12 points?

The challenge of gaining automatic or Playoff promotion from the 2025/26 season is serious. That ambition wasn't a simple proposition when City almost had a fully fit squad to choose from with no suspensions.

"I don’t know. I think six. Clearly, if it’s EFL rules, then the tariffs that are in place and the guidance that are in place from the EFL will give it more points. It could be nine or 12."
