According to every journalist, pundit and in the know expert to speak on the matter, Leicester City Football Club are perhaps facing points deduction in the Championship. Not to mention probably incurring the problem of having to sell most, if not all of, their best players. Oh dear. The main people to blame, if reports and the general consensus are accurate, are CEO Susan Whelen, director of football Jon Rudkin and, ultimately, chairman Aiyawatt 'Khun Top' Srivaddhanaprabha.

Even former Foxes, Liverpool, Bolton Wanderers and England striker Emile Heskey offered a rather scathing and bleak impression of the state of LCFC at present. So which of their standout assets might the East Midlanders have to sell? Will prospective sales here hurt the chances of promotion from tier two back to the Premier League? Is Heskey in fact right overall as Foxes of Leicester see the situation? And which current fan favourite is the latest to be linked with a departure from Filbert Way?

An ex-Foxes star set to switch Italian sides?

Ademola Lookman was definitely one of those City wingers you wanted to stay at the club, to be honest. I may not have been in the majority at the time, but you just felt he had so much more to offer if trusted.

Nevertheless, Lookman left Leicestershire. And he promptly made his way more convincingly thanks to winning the African Player of the Year accoalde in 2024. That award really made his name in the footballing sphere.

The 27-year-old has been with Atalanta for a few years now and has produced exceptional numbers. If only he was to return to the King Power; Napoli are reportedly readying a large offer.

It appears that Stephy Mavididi could be Lookman's replacement at Gewiss Stadium:

"With Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman linked with an exit, Mavididi could be a potential replacement for La Dea."
