A couple of weeks ago, a lesser known football news outlet made what turned out to be a false manager claim about Leicester City. Now the same company have come up with another significant suggestion concerning the Foxes. They allege the East Midlanders were in fact rejected by a boss they supposedly had an agreement with. The person in question then went on to join a different club in another country. In addition to clearing up and examining that matter, we also look at another statement from the organisation.

It is still being purported that a Ruud van Nistelrooy decision has indeed been made at King Power Stadium. And it is not ostensibly a positive outcome for the former Manchester United and PSV Eindhoven man. The Dutchman will be sacked very soon, it is said. Furthermore, City's supposed plan of action has been revealed as potential successors are 'evaluated'. So, when will the Dutchman depart Filbert Way? What is LCFC's next apparent move? And which gaffers are being considered to take over from van Nistelrooy?

Foxes' action plan

Source have told Football Insider, who did make previous erroneous calls about the Leicestershire outfit, that van Nistelrooy likely won't be in charge at the King Power come the start of the 2025/26 season. The bookmakers recently had Michael Carrick at third in line for the LCFC job. Though the ex-Middlesbrough shot caller is behind Sean Dyche and reported race leader Danny Rohl.

False boss claim website suggest Leicester City were rejected by new Rangers head coach Russell Martin

On May 26 of this year, Football Insider claimed Martin had 'reached a full agreement to become City's new manager'. He hadn't - he joined the Scottish club the following week.

However, the same media source now declare that the Ex-Southampton boss actually declined the Foxes opportunity. Maybe he did. Either way, the 39-year-old wasn't right for us.
