Leicester City manager Steve Cooper is already under pressure at King Power Stadium. The Foxes are winless at this tender stage of the 2024/25 season with the former boss of a Midlands rival at the helm. However, the Leicestershire outfit are showing resilience as they have fought back to claim a couple of draws by now. Nevertheless, alarm bells are ringing within some factions of the Blue Army even with the campaign at an infancy.

In the midst of some fan backlash, Cooper's in-match decisions are being increasingly heavily and negatively scrutinised. These are arguably accurate assessments of the beginning of the Welshman's tenure on Filbert Way. What's next for Leicester and their somewhat controversial gaffer? Will Cooper eventually win the entirety of the Foxes support around? Will they survive relegation just as Nottingham Forest did with him in place? Or will he soon be sacked with LCFC struggling again whilst employing a new head coach?

Leicester City only manage to scrape draw with fellow strugglers Everton - not good enough?

Before we get into a brief game summary which helps to illuminate Cooper's current situation, I'd like to make a comment. Losing at home to the contemporary incarnation of Everton Football Club is simply unsatisfactory. To avoid demotion to the Championship, Leicester must be victorious in these types of clashes.

That sentiment applies particularly in this instance because the Foxes were playing at KPS. Yes, we are a club that has caused upsets away from home when objectively competing against far superior opposition. Though City appear to be slipping from that alluring period into another era. An epoch of uncertainty and likely dissatisfying displays in hard-to-watch fixtures.

A drizzly stalemate with the Toffees just won't do, I'm afraid. And I am definitely not the sole LCFC fan to consider present-day Leicester inadequate. Yeah, the team has been badly affected by poor and shortsighted off-field business moves. Although, an element of passion has gone, and few talismanic characters remain.

Steve Cooper quizzed on selections and choices as supporters make demands

Jeers met the substitution of Stephy Mavididi on Saturday. Cooper's judgement did not go down well with the Foxes faithful. Yet the manager doesn't regret his reason to deploy Abdul Fatawu; the boss said he'd do so again for freshness.

Boos also rang out at the King Power at full-time. Paying spectators are unhappy with what they've seen. Cooper better reverse fortunes swiftly or it'll intensify.
