Rated West Bromwich Albion manager Carlos Corberan is not expected to take the top job at Leicester City. In spite of being connected with the role, an expert has tipped the Spaniard to stay at The Hawthorns for 2024/25. FoL offer an opinion on the matter as well as reporting the hearsay.

In addition to covering those rumours, we comment after an ex-loanee Fox divulged the reason for his exit. Why did Cesare Casadei return to Chelsea Football Club following a decent temporary spell with the east Midlands outfit?

Minds and focus in the footballing world are now generally on the prestigious Euro 2024 international tournament. Germany smashed a poorly setup and seemingly badly managed Scotland team on Friday evening. The wait is nearly over to witness Gareth Southgate's latest England side; The Three Lions play on Sunday.

However, those of us in the Blue Army are more concerned with activity, or inactivity, at King Power Stadium. There is a lot to sort out on Filbert Way: no manager, Profit and Sustainability issues, a transfer embargo and a desperate need to refresh the squad. Because, after all, having the right players is the most important element to any football club.

There are currently plenty of whispers - some softly spoken and overtly named - of Leicester's plans and targets for their next boss. Graham Potter is arguably the standout candidate; the 49-year-old leads the running with the bookmakers at present. Though Baggies chief Carlos Corberan is apparently in the race too. Steve Cooper, formerly of Nottingham Forest, is another supposed nomination at Leicester.

Whether or not Potter is truly an LCFC fan favourite remains to be seen. The one-time Ostersund, Swansea City, Brighton & Hove Albion and Chelsea man is my personal choice, I must admit. I believe Potter to undertake the type of management suitable and sustainable at the King Power, should the right balance of backing and autonomy occur.

Carlos Corberan expected to continue as West Bromwich Albion gaffer

City are said to retain a controversial interest in the former Forest man. Yet ex-England midfielder Carlton Palmer has dismissed talk of another candidate, Corberan, leaving his West Brom post. This eventuality would ostensibly leave two candidates: Potter and Cooper.

Cesare Casadei revelation not a real shock for in the know Leicester City fans

Casadei has admitted that he was instrumental in returning to Stamford Bridge. Although, ending the loan was surprising at the time:

"Chelsea is my team and that was my dream, to be able to play for Chelsea. Obviously to go on loan is part of the journey but my target was always to come back here and play for Chelsea.

They asked me if I was happy to come back and I said yes straight away because to come back here to Chelsea was my target. My goal was to be able to be here, to train every day in the first team."
