The futures of Leicester City stars Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Kelechi Iheanacho are now respectively clearer after the latest reports. Foxes of Leicester offer opinions on the LCFC pair, as well as dissecting other topics concerning the east Midlands side.

After turning their form around with two consecutive victories, Leicester have now lost successive English Championship matches 1-0. Even more worryingly, the Foxes should be able to beat both Millwall - even away at The Den - and Plymouth Argyle respectively. With all due respect, of course.

Us Blue Army members should really have known that attaining promotion back to the Premier League was never going to be as simple as it might perhaps be. The Leicester fans, myself included, were cruelly tricked into thinking everything was all good, with ascension a foregone conclusion. Clearly it wasn't.

Maresca will now find that he'll accumulate an increasing number of critics. There are even a few murmurs among some supporters and writers about the Italian potentially not being the right man for the probable return to the top-flight.

I find that slightly disrespectful and certainly a premature assertion. Basically, as this writer sees it, Maresca will have earned his chance at the big time with the King Power club if he succeeds in taking the team there for 2024/25.

However, I totally agree and have stated many times that the former Manchester City coach must be more flexible. He is also almost obstinate regarding his tactics, if not personnel selections; Tom Cannon is obviously a curious case. We should all probably just focus on getting into the top tier next season rather than the negatives - for now.

Can we now guess what will happen with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Kelechi Iheanacho at Leicester City this summer?

There are concerns that prominent players like Dewsbury-Hall could perhaps depart Leicester City Football Club during this coming offseason. Even if LCFC's 2023/24 objective is realised, the future of KDH, and others, is said to be uncertain due to the outfit's so-called need to 'balance the books'.

A recent report stated that the standout Foxes midfielder 'will only leave Leicester if they fail to achieve promotion'. If Leicester are reinstated to the EPL, they will be "desperate" to keep Dewsbury-Hall.

Although, Kelechi Iheanacho is 'expected to exit' the club in the summer. As Iheanacho has not been prominent in Maresca's side and is soon out of contract, the story feels realistic. The Nigeria international is connected with a move away.
