High profile Fox mulls transfer offers as 'special' Leicester eye almost relegated star
A high profile but out of favour Leicester City player is supposed evaluating a few transfer offers from external clubs. Will the Nigeria international leave the Foxes? Meanwhile LCFC are reportedly eyeing a relegated star from Luton Town. Would Elijah Adebayo be a good signing for the Filbert Way outfit? Foxes of Leicester with news and views as always, including our opinion on goalkeeper Mads Hermansen suggesting that something special may be in the offing again from the Leicestershire side.
What's Mads Hermansen been predicting for Leicester City, then?
Well, the likeable 'keeper has been chatting about the upcoming season in the Premier League. I am sure he is absolutely thrilled and excited in equal measure! Anyway, the Dane, now a three-year veteran as a No.1 between the sticks for Brondby and LCFC, has backed the King Power club to do something "special" in the coming campaign.
Specifically, Hermansen claims that his soon-to-be new experience in the English top-flight could be a good one. That is, in spite of most promoted teams going straight back down; we are about to see all three new ones relegated from the current EPL, once again. Nevertheless, the 23-year-old is confident that City will make their mark in 2024/25:
"I have faith we can get some good results. It's hard for me to say where I think we could end up or what we can achieve, but with my team-mates, I know we can do something very special as a team."
Kelechi Iheanacho has offers from three clubs - report
Clearly Iheanacho is not favoured by Leicester head coach Enzo Maresca. Therefore the best solution must be found for all involved - for the Nigerian especially. Turkish outfits Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Besiktas are all named as admirers.
While Iheanacho purportedly evaluates a trio of propositions from these interested sides, Leicester might be wise to sure up their attacking line before allowing the former Manchester City man to leave. You see, Jamie Vardy is ageing and hasn't signed a new deal yet; all amidst transfer rumours concerning the ex-England forward.
Patson Daka is definitely an inconsistent footballer. Then you have the curious case of Tom Cannon: he also appears to be in the wilderness somewhat regarding faith from Maresca. Cannon was not even in every matchday squad when available.
Leicester City want to sign Luton Town attacker Elijah Adebayo - report
If Iheanacho does exit the King Power, there will still be a connection to Nigeria at LCFC via much-loved midfielder Wilfred Ndidi. And another player with Nigerian ancestry could be joining the Foxes, too, if claims are accurate. That's because City are monitoring Elijah Adebayo. He is an imposing and deft centreforward whose 10 EPL goals garnered attention:
"The Foxes, who will be busy in the market following their promotion to the Premier League, have reportedly identified Adebayo as a player they would like to acquire to strengthen their squad in the summer.
Earlier reports indicated that Crystal Palace and Bournemouth are also interested in securing the signature of the Super Eagles-eligible forward.
Meanwhile, according to Givemesport, new reports suggest that Kelechi Iheanacho has no plans to sign a new contract with Leicester City. Consequently, the club is exploring options for his replacement."
